iCocoon Stretch Therapy Workshop Series

The Lower-Body - 2 hrs

Part 3/4

At Crossfit Vancouver

June 19 @ 3:30-5:30 pm SAT

$60

Most people feel a satisfying sense of empowerment when they discover they know how to get rid of their own pain or discomfort. The stretches introduced during this workshop, are designed to give a gentle stretch to all parts of the lower-body. A balance in strength and flexibility of all the muscles of the hip will help prevent painful syndromes and injuries.

Tight hamstrings or hip flexors can seriously compromise physical activities and may cause injury. Overcome back pain, hip and piriformis related discomfort, hamstring and calf muscle inflexibility. Learn about innovative techniques to efficiently release muscle tension and prevent sports injuries.

Why Stretch Therapy?

When performed on a regular basis, stretch therapy offers you an independently achievable preventative daily routine that will provide a lifetime of benefits:

  • Learn about your own patterns of tension, and how to change them
  • Gain deeper insight to yourself and enjoy confident movements
  • Your body will feel looser
  • Your range of movement will be greater
  • You will be more relaxed and you will sleep better

Why should I do this Clinic?

Q. Why should I do this clinic?
A. Because lack of mobility increases risk of injury and can weaken your performance.

Q. Will I learn anything new?
A. Yes. This warm-up clinic is a smart fusion for avoiding painful injuries and to learn stretch re-patterning techniques based on the innovative principles of Stretch Therapy.

Q. How does Stretch Therapy work?

A. Mastering safe and efficient stretches releases joint stiffness and muscular tension.

Q. Is Stretch Therapy like yoga?
A. While yoga is an activity that combines physical exercise with relaxation techniques, the Stretch Therapy program applies a refined form of PNF, Contract-Release technique to gain long term functional flexibility

What can I expect from the Lower Body Workshop?

Lower back pain is very often caused by extremely tight hip and leg muscles.  Learn to efficiently release the muscles of your hip and legs and exercise with peak performance.

This is an informative clinic - participants will also learn about proper alignment and anatomy of the lower body muscles.

The approach will increase the suppleness and strength of the muscles of your hip and legs to reduce the likelihood of injury to these areas.

For the first time, the Posture and Flexibility (P&F) Drill will bring together all of the exercises you have been practicing - you will be amazed by its powerful results. Then, followed by regular weekly classes at your gym we will continue to assist you to reach your long term goals of improving posture and flexibility.
